About Us

Tahdab, founded by Ferdous Samim, is a startup dedicated to addressing housing and climate crises issues. By leveraging economies of scale, we develop, test, and implement high-impact products designed to provide effective solutions.

Lana, a prefabricated modular home, is our first product for the disaster-impacted families and returning refugees in Afghanistan. Over 150,000 homes are urgently needed for over a million people displaced since mid 2023. Read more.

Immediate action is crucial to prevent the cycle of poor rebuilding that harms generations. Without proper intervention, families will rebuild using unsafe methods, often relying on children as laborers. This cycle perpetuates vulnerability, leading to poorly constructed homes that will collapse in future disasters, resulting in injury or loss of life. Lana offers a tangible solution, it is quickly and properly built, providing a stable environment for families to thrive. Using prefabricated method, mass producing homes in the form of Modular Homes and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) can significantly solve a tangible portion of the current housing challenge; 150,000 homes by the end of 2030.
